Job Overview Global Impact Group LLC is seeking Tajiki (Tajik Persian) Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Tajiki, a variety of Persian spoken in Tajikistan and Central Asia, is a rare but critical language often needed in asylum and immigration cases. Responsibilities Provide real-time Tajiki-English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders. Interpret with accuracy, impartiality, and professionalism in immigration, asylum, and legal contexts. Maintain confidentiality in line with USCIS/DHS interpreter standards. Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge interpretation needs. Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance audits. Qualifications Native or near-native fluency in Tajiki (Tajik Persian) and English. 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, asylum, community, or government strongly preferred). Familiarity with interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural awareness. Strong communication skills; ability to remain accurate under pressure. Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 security clearance. Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay: $28–35/hour (rare-language premium).
