Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description: This position is located in our Yadkinville, NC Facility; with working hours from 2:00am-10:00am

We are looking to recruit a responsible leader to ensure that the quality and quantity of packaged goods follows company standards. Maintenance Supervisor manages the maintenance functions required to support and improve the operations of the Yadkinville Manufacturing site. Partners with management to support capital processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes problem solving and analytical skills to support the maintenance staff and provide support for capital improvements.
  • Coordinates activities with other departments and business units to ensure continuity of operations.
  • Assists with maintenance operational budgets according to plan.
  • Utilizes interpersonal skills to facilitate team processes among the members of the work unit.
  • Provides leadership and direction to the maintenance work unit to ensure maximum efficiencies and ongoing development of the Preventive Maintenance program.
  • Enforces safety and sanitation policies to ensure compliance with all applicable government regulations and company policies.
  • Develops and implements plans to control or reduce departmental costs and to increase efficiencies by utilizing established methodology to improve production processes.
  • Provides training and development for direct reports to meet business and personnel objectives and goals.
  • Active participant on the plant manager’s staff supporting daily operations.
  • Maintain the overall facility to be compliant to internal and external regulatory agencies.
  • Responsible to ensure food safety/quality polices are followed, to report all food safety/quality problems out of his/her realm of responsibility to personnel with the authority to initiate action.
  • Responsible to make sure a good safe wholesome product is produced safely.
  • Enforce and follow all Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Report all unsafe acts and unsafe working conditions to appropriate manager assuring resolution.
  • Adheres to all Safety & GMP Procedures
  • Performs additional functions as assigned

Experience, Skills, Education:

  • Associate’s Degree Required; Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • Experience within a Leadership Role is Required
  • Food/Baking Experience Preferred
  • Functional Experience in use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, AutoCad
  • Working Knowledge of JD Edwards is Preferred
  • Effective Communication Skills
  • Demonstrated Organizational Skills
  • Good Math Skills
  • Reading/Comprehension Abilities
  • Demonstrated Leadership Capabilities
  • Ability to Work In Group Setting or Individually
  • Ability to Identify Problems and Respond Accordingly
