Landscape Design Intern 
May-August (Flexible) 2026

Bachman’s  Landscape Design Intern will discover the complete design and sales process on projects in Landscaping, Interior Landscaping, and Garden Maintenance, from the beginning conceptual design work to the end of installation. You’ll work with experienced landscape designers and install crews to create beautiful landscapes. Your environment and daily tasks will continually vary, ranging from sales calls with landscape designers to on-site analysis of projects to design work. . This is a paid internship.

Job Duties:

• Assist Landscape and Garden Services Designers in their daily routines in interacting with crews, customers, and contractors.
• Measure new sites for base mapping. Hand drawing and CAD skills preferred.
• Answer and return customer phone calls for designers.
• Assist crews with installation by aiding in lay-out and installation of plant materials sold.
• Assist with special community projects on behalf of Bachman’s Garden Services.
• Assist maintenance crews with landscape maintenance at residential properties.
• Assist with nursery warehousing in plant selections for Garden Service projects.
• Special event design projects.
• Different CRM improvement projects with Bachman’s design service and customers.
• Design software applications and or paperless systems for the landscape industry.

Qualifications :

• Sophomore students or higher, who have passed their gen horticulture classes, preferred 
• Must have passed a minimum of entry level drafting classes passed.

Schedule:

• 40 hours a week, M-F. May-August
• On-site at our Lyndale location in Minneapolis, MN
